House, now shop with flat and attached railings. c1818-1836
with later additions and alterations including mid-late C20
shop front to ground floor. Brick in Flemish bond, painted to
right side, with painted stucco to front facade, unpainted
stucco to rear, concealed roof with cast-iron railings and
balconies.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. First floor:
16-pane French windows and 4-pane overlights with plain
reveals, tooled architraves and continuous moulded sill-band.
Second floor: three 3/6 sashes, plain reveals and continuous
sill band. Frieze, modillion cornice. Ground floor: entrance
to left, 5 roll-moulded steps and 1 plain step to
6-fielded-panel door with overlight with glazing bars.
Fielded-panel reveals. Architrave with pediment. Remains of
rustication to left. Otherwise shop front. Hipped roof.
First-floor windows have individual balconies. Right return: 4
low storeys with basement, 2 window range. Plinth. Blind
openings to all storeys to first bay, otherwise mainly 6/6
sashes, all under flat channelled arches with taller keystone.
Small inserted 4-pane casement to upper right. Fixed light
window to basement to left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to left of entrance and to area
have bars with fleur-de-lys finials.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Bath Street was a main street of the C18
village of Leamington.
