House, now flats. c1832, with later additions and alterations.
Brick with scored and painted stucco front facade and
unpainted stucco to right return, concealed roof and cast-iron
verandah and porch.
3 storeys with double basement, 4 first-floor windows. Wide,
half-canted bay to right, to full height. First floor has two
1/1 sashes in round-arched surrounds; 8-pane French window
with margin-lights; 1/1 sash. Second-floor band, 2/2 sash, 1/1
sash, 2/2 sash and 1/1 sash; all first- and second-floor
windows in splayed, plain reveals. Ground floor, entrance to
left: flight of 8 steps to 6-panel door with overlight; tall
1/1 sash, 2/2 sash, 1/1 sash all in plain reveals and with
continuous sill band. Basement has 2/2 sash and 1/1 sash.
Below again a part-glazed door and 2/2 sash. To first floor a
cast-iron verandah has Greek key motif to uprights and scroll
balustrade. Remains of porch with lozenge motif.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Church Hill was laid out in 1832.
