House now flats. c1832, with later additions and alterations.
Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco to front facade,
concealed roof and cast-iron verandah.
3 storeys with basement and attic, 2 first-floor windows.
Ground floor: entrance to right, 7 steps to 4-panel,
part-glazed door with plain reveals in deep recess, doorcase
has 2 Tuscan pilasters supporting round arch. 2/2 sash in
plain reveals and with sill. First floor: 12-pane French
windows, plain reveals. Second floor: two 6/6 sashes in plain
reveals and with sills. Basement has 4/4 sash. Cornice,
blocking course, side stacks. Concealed dormer windows. First
floor has continuous verandah with double-rod-and-anthemion
motif balustrade.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: lancet area railings.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Dale Street was laid out c1832, the east side
was built by 1834.
