House, now shop. c1813 with later additions and alterations
including mid-C20 shop front. Pinkish-brown brick in English
garden wall bond with painted stucco front facade and Welsh
slate roof.
3 storeys with attic, 2 first-floor windows. Remains of
horizontal rustication to ground floor.
First-floor band surmounted by 3 tall Ionic pilasters through
first and second floors, frieze, cornice, blocking course.
First floor has tall 6/6 sashes with plain reveals. Second
floor has 3/6 sashes with plain reveals and moulded sills.
Ground floor, entrance to right: 3 steps to 4-panel door with
fanlight with glazing bars, panelled reveals and roll-moulded
surround. Sliding sashes to attic dormers are partly
concealed. Truncated end stacks, mansard roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Gloucester Street was laid out 1806-1813.
