Villa. c1834 with later additions and alterations.
Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facades, Welsh slate
roof and cast-iron verandah.
EXTERIOR: main range: 2 storeys with basement, 3 first-floor
windows; to right, 2 storeys with attic, deeply-recessed
single bay. Chamfered plinth. Horizontal rustication to ground
floor. First-floor band.
First floor: main range has 2/2 sashes, sills, plain reveals.
To right bay a pair of round-arched lancets; similar pair to
attic, both with plain reveals and continuous sills.
Ground floor, entrance to right bay: flight of steps to
6-panel door with tooled surround.
Within porch, a second part-glazed, 6-panel door between
3-pane side-lights. Otherwise ground floor has 6-pane French
windows with margin-lights and divided overlights with
margin-lights. Continuous verandah with oval motif to posts.
Basement: central entrance a part-glazed door. Two 8/8 sashes,
plain reveals and sills. Frieze, cornice, blocking course with
raised, pedimented panels. End and roof stacks.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining staircase with stick balusters.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Leam Terrace was laid out c1828-1836, both
sides to Willes Road were almost completely built by 1841.
