Farmhouse, now public house. c1800 with later additions and
alterations and probable earlier origins. For the Willes
family. Reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond with plain-tile
roof. U-shaped on plan.
2 storeys with attic (to pediment), 5 first-floor windows.
Central 3-window range projects and is pedimented. First
floor: 3-course band, 2/2 sashes in reveals, with cambered
arches and with sills. Ground floor: steps to end entrances
(alike) glazed doors under wide, cambered arches. 3 tall 1/1
sashes with cambered arches. All windows in plain reveals.
Moulded eaves cornice. Pediment has thermal window, cornice.
Raised gable ends. End stacks with cornices. First-floor band
and eaves cornice continue around building. Rear ranges have
pedimented gable ends.
INTERIOR: ground floor retains no evidence of original plan
form or original features; otherwise not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: converted to a public house during 1984.
