House, offices at time of listing, now subdivided into apartments. c1824-1836, with later additions and alterations including those of mid-C20. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco to front facade and Welsh slate roof. Three storeys with attic, two first floor windows. First floor: tall 1/1 sashes; second floor has 1/1 sashes. Cornice, blocking course partly conceals roof dormer. Ground floor, steps to side entrance a panelled door with overlight with glazing bars. Inset plate-glass window. End stack.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Portland Street was laid out 1823-1824.
