Mill. Late C18 with later additions and alterations. Sandstone
ashlar and pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond with ashlar
dressings and plain tile roof.
EXTERIOR: main range of 3 storeys with attic, 5 first-floor
windows; with further range set back to right of 4 storeys, 2
first-floor windows. Further single-storey range to right and
mill chimney.
Main range has quoins to angles. First floor: band; from left,
double plank pitching doors with divided cambered overlight,
otherwise 6-and 20-pane cambered-headed windows. Similar
windows to second floor, the 4th blocked. All windows in plain
reveals, with sills, and cambered arches with keystones.
Second floor band. Third floor band. Attic: remains of
casement window, blind opening, remains of board door. Small
central pediment partly concealed by board hoist casing.
Ground floor: off-centre entrance a board door. Further board
door to right with cambered overlight. Two 6-pane cambered
windows. All have flat gauged arches with keystones. Circular
iron tie beam ends to front and rear facades.
Range to right: mainly 20-pane cambered-headed casements, 2
per floor, all with sills and under cambered arches and
keystones. First and second floor bands, third floor sill
band. Ground floor entrance to centre a board door with
cambered arch. Modillion cornice. Right end stack. Left to
range has plank doors under round arch and garage doors,
chimney has banding and cornice. Similar windows to rear.
INTERIOR: main range has mill wheels by Lampitt, Millwright,
Todenham; range to right has original fireplace to right room.
