Villa, now flats. c1838-1850 with later additions and
alterations. Brick with painted stucco front and garden
facades, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron balcony.
STYLE: Neo-classical, gable-end to street.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic to gable and basement, 3
first-floor windows. First floor: sill band, central window a
6/6 sash with moulded architrave and entablature, between 2
blind openings with moulded architraves. Attic to gable has
two 6/6 sashes in plain reveals, sills and moulded
architraves.
Ground floor: 7 roll-edged steps to central entrance a 3-panel
door with decorative lower panel, between pilaster strips and
side-lights, within distyle Roman Doric porch with plain
engaged pilasters, frieze with triglyphs and metopes. Ground
floor has two blind openings with moulded architraves and
entablature. Low parapet incorporates stacks.
Garden facade: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows: first-floor
sill band, 6/6 sashes in plain reveals. Frieze, cornice.
Ground floor has tall 6/9 sashes in plain reveals. Basement
has three 8/8 sashes. Ground floor has continuous balcony with
heart-and-anthemion motif balustrade.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
