Villa. Mid-C19. Reddish-brown brick with painted stucco front
facade, unpainted stucco stacks and Welsh slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 4 first-floor windows. First floor: centre is
recessed slightly, outer left and right ranges are gabled to
front; moulded first-floor band; 6/6 sash, 4/4 sash with
gothic glazing and margin-lights, pair of 6/6 sashes all in
chamfered reveals with chamfered sills and hollow-moulded
hoodmoulds with end stops. To front gables are blind openings
with similar surrounds.
Ground floor: moulded plinth, central recessed entrance, a
part-glazed, 6-panel door in doorcase with pilaster strips and
sidelights with stained glass, overlight has decorative
cast-iron glazing bars; outer pointed-arched opening has
chamfered jambs, corbel 'capitals' support hoodmould.
To left a 6/6 sash, to right a pair of 6-pane French windows
with divided overlights all with margin-lights, with chamfered
jambs and sills. Tall right and left end stacks and rear and
ridge stacks with cornices. Decorative bargeboards to gables
with decorative frieze on low parapet to centre. Sides and
rear: mainly 6/6 sashes, 8/8 staircase sash.
