GV II

2 houses, now shops with flats and offices over. Early-mid C19
with mid C20 ground-floor shop fronts. Pinkish-brown brick
with painted stucco front facade and concealed roof and with
cast-iron balcony railings to left.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 bays. Horizontal rustication to centre
and banded pilasters to ends through first and second floors.
First floor: outer canted bay windows have 6-pane French
windows with divided overlights all with margin-lights between
4-pane windows with sidelights, all in plain reveals with
tooled surrounds, frieze and cornice. Central 6-pane French
window with overlight and margin-lights, with flat arch and
raised keystone.
Second floor: outer bays have 6/6 between 4/4 sashes; to
centre a 6/6 sash, all in plain reveals and with moulded
sills. Frieze, cornice, low parapet with sunk panels; to ends
are finials, missing to left, and to centre are 2 anthemion
acroteria. Left stack with cornice.
Ground floor: glazed doors in glazed shop fronts. To first
floor, left a continuous balcony with
elongated-figure-of-8-and-circle motif balustrade.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Warwick Street was laid out c1822-26.
