GV II

House, now house and flat. c1840-50 with later additions and
alterations. Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facade,
Welsh slate roof and cast-iron porch. Neo-classical style.
2 storeys, 4 bays, that to right is deeply recessed. Ground
floor: plinth, horizontal rustication. Entrance to right
recess, 3 roll-edged steps to 4-panel door, overlight with
margin-lights, within tooled surround and with porch with
anthemion motif to struts and tent roof. Main range: ground
floor, 3 tall 1/1 fixed-light windows in double-chamfered
plain reveals, with roll-edged sill; first-floor band supports
4 pairs of Ionic pilasters to ends of main range and between
bays, three 1/1 sashes with horns and sills. To first floor,
recessed bay, a blind, round-arched opening with sill and
tooled surround. Continuous frieze, dentil cornice, low
parapet. Tall end stacks with cornices.
