Terraced house. Early C19, with mid C19 shop fronts on return.
Stucco. Roof of tile.
4 storeys over basement. 2 windows. Elevation treated as
full-height and full-width segmental bay. Ground floor has
chamfered rustication, currently being repaired. There is a
plain cornice band to first floor, a moulded cornice to the
second, and a cornice with blocking course to the attic. These
are carried around to the left return. All windows flat
arched, those to first and second floor have cornices. On
return elevation, there is a flat-arched entry with overlight,
framed by pairs of engaged Tuscan colonnettes and sidelights.
Jambs and lintel are rusticated. First and second floor
windows have cornices supported by console brackets. Shop
fronts to either side of door of mid C19 date, having
elaborate console bracket stops decorated with acanthus
leaves, lions' heads and paws. Stacks to back and party walls.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Railings to stairs, areas and first
floor windows on return.
