Well head. c1860. Possibly by John Gibson. For Compton Verney
estate. Rubble and coursed dressed limestone with sandstone
and limestone ashlar dressings. Gabled structure with coping;
double-chamfered ogee arch with banded outer voussoirs and
attached shafts frame cusped inner arch, which has ballflower
in hollow-chamfered mouldings. Semicircular trough with back
inlet now filled in. Shield to gable. Semicircular rear wall
of rubble with corbelled roof.
