2 houses. c1700 with later alterations. Small, square panels
of timber-framing with brick nogging to right and centre,
brick to left with plain-tile roof and tile-hung left gable.
2-unit plan altogether.
EXTERIOR: single-storey with attics, 5-window range. 2
entrances, off-centre and right, have plank doors and moulded
wood surrounds. Ground floor has 2- and 3-light casements with
glazing bars in moulded wood surrounds and with elliptical
arches. Attic has 3 gabled dormers with metal casements with
glazing bars. To left and external stack, ridge and right end
stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Elmdene (qv), Wood Lane Farmhouse, Wood Lane (qv) and
Appletree Cottage and Vine Cottage form a group.
