GV II
House. c1840. For Robert Needham Philips. Painted brick with
ashlar dressings; fishscale tile roof with brick end and
cross-axial stack with caps. Single-unit plan with cross-wing
to right.
EXTERIOR: single-storey with attic; 2-window range. Wide eaves
and plain bargeboards with finials. Entrance to left of
cross-wing has porch with coped parapet and segmental arch;
battened inner door. Ground floor has 3-light hollow-chamfered
mullioned windows with dripmoulds, similar 2-light windows
above, that to left in gabled half-dormer. Gabled roofs. Left
return has 2-light window to first floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
