Inn, now house. c1700 with later additions and alterations
including C20 range to rear. Timber-framing with whitewashed
brick nogging and front wall rebuilt in brick, now
whitewashed, thatched roof, plain-tile roofs to bay windows.
3-unit plan with rear ranges.
EXTERIOR: single storey with attic, 3-ground-floor-window
range. Small panels of square timber-framing and jowled posts
to left return; some timber-framing to right gable end.
Entrance off-centre to left: plank door in C20 porch, flanked
by canted bay windows with hipped roofs and C20 casement
windows with glazing-bars. Gabled roof. Central half-dormer
with similar casements. Right end and rear ridge stacks.
INTERIOR: small square panels of timber framing are visible to
the original rear wall.
