House, now 2 houses. C17 with extensive C18 and C19
alterations. Painted brick laid to Flemish bond with some
timber-frame; gabled old tile roof; brick stack to rear wing.
2-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: single-storey plus attic; 2-window range. Plat band
to No.37; 2 wall studs to No.39. Segmental-headed entrance to
left end (No.37) has C20 stable door in wide frame; entrance
to right of centre (No.39) has C20 plank door with overlight
in wide frame. Each has a bay window to right of entrance with
hipped tile roof, that to No.37 is canted with iron opening
casements; that to No.39 with roof continued over entrance.
Each has a gabled half-dormer with bargeboards and small-paned
glazing over 2-light casement, that to No.37 with iron opening
casement.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
