Formerly known as: No.50 Burman House HIGH STREET.
House, now offices. Late C17 or early C18 with c1800 and C20
alterations and additions. Brick, stucco fronted; large slate
gabled roof with brick end and rear stacks. Central staircase
plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic; symmetrical 5-window range. 4
giant pilasters and wide top cornice which has what are
probably heads of keystones to former first-floor windows.
Entrance has altered doorcase with fluted pilasters (formerly
with consoled pediment and fanlight) and C20 paired doors.
Ground floor has 2 large small-paned early C19 bow windows;
first floor has 5 windows with C20 wood cross-casements
replacing sashes; 3 flat-roofed dormers. Rear has gabled wings
and late C20 additions.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but recorded as having staircase with
plain newels, turned balusters and moulded handrails.
