GV II

House, later bank, now offices. Early C19 with early and late
C20 alterations. Brick with stucco dressings and ashlar
ground-floor projection; slate roof with brick end stacks with
octagonal pots.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Plain top
parapet with stone coping. Ground floor projects, with
rusticated angle pilasters and entablature; centre breaks back
with acanthus bracket and flanking channelled-rusticated
projections with entrance and window. Entrance to left end has
architrave and cornice to 2-light overlight and
6-faceted-panel door with bowed fluted frieze between.
Window to right projection has moulded sill, architrave and
cornice to 6/6 sash; centre has 2 windows with moulded sills
and architraves to 8/12 sashes; all these sashes have horns
and lack lower glazing bars. First floor has canted bay
windows with entablatures over 4/4:6/6:4/4 sashes flanking
central window with stucco wedge lintel over 6/6 sash; attic
floor has 2 windows with sills and stucco wedge lintels over
4/8 sashes flanking central 3/6 sash.
