2 houses, one now restaurant. Late C17 refaced in C18. Brick
laid to Flemish bond; gabled old tile roof with brick rear
stacks. 2 plus 2-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Plain eaves. No.71 has
entrance to right of centre with doorcase with fluted frieze
with paterae and consoled dentilled pediment to
6-fielded-panel door (2 panels glazed). Entrance is flanked by
windows with brick flat arches over 8/8 sashes in wide flush
frames.
No.71a has C20 double-fronted shop front with small-paned bow
windows. First floor has 3 windows with 8/8 sashes in moulded
frames and one window to right end with 6/6 horned sash.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
