GV II

House, now offices and flat. C17 with C19 and later
alterations and additions. Timber-frame with plastered or
roughcast infill, and plastered brick; renewed tile roofs.
Originally H-plan, but underbuilding to cross-wings and infill
between wings creating flush facade.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic; 3-window range. Central
crenellated parapet on plat band. Entrances with C20 doors
between 3 small-paned bow windows; large late C20 fascia over
all. First floor has oriels to wings, that to left with
4/4:8/8:4/4 horned sashes, that to right with 1/1:10/10:1/1
horned sashes. Central window with 8/8 sash in moulded frame.
Gables have windows with 2-light casements, leaded glazing to
left, small-paned to right; central gabled dormer with 2-light
casement.
Square framing with tall panels to gables; return has bracket
to former jetty. Rear has 3 brick gabled wings of varying
lengths and varied stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
