Pair of houses, now shops and houses. C17, altered early C19.
Timber-frame refronted with brick laid to Flemish bond; gabled
old tile roofs with brick stacks to rear. L-plan with barn to
rear attached by C20 wing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 4-window range. Top dentilled brick
cornice; asymmetrical gable to left end. Pair of shop fronts
with wide bracketed canopy over central pair of entrances with
half-glazed doors flanking 2-light window; 2-light shop window
to left and 3-light window to right with canopy; windows and
doors with fretwork lower panels, some now covered.
No.118 to left has entrance with architrave and 4-flush-panel
door to left of canted bay window with late C20 small-paned
glazing and roof continued as canopy over entrance. First
floor has 4 windows with 8/8 sashes in wide moulded frames.
Left return to Becks Croft has C20 entrances, windows and
dormers; large stack to front of ridge.
Right return has exposed timber-framing showing raising of
eaves; C20 wing connects front range with long C17
timber-framed barn with brick infill to square framing; some
brick renewal.
