Farmhouse, now house. c1800, possibly with earlier origins or
reusing older material, with later additions and alterations
including those of C20. Red brick in Flemish bond, partly on
stone cellar, with gabled plain-tile roof. 2 brick gable-end
stacks, brick dentil eaves cornice.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range, with west bay
extended to north as a short gabled wing. Cellar walls form
stone plinth under west bay and wing with 3 casement windows
on west side under brick segmental arches.
Entrance on north side against angle with wing has C20 porch
roof on brackets. Early C20 canted bay window to left of
entrance. Two 2-light casements with bars to first floor and
one similar to each floor of gable-end wall to wing, all under
segmental brick arches.
Symmetrical south elevation with brick first-floor band,
central doorway with evidence of brick infilled fanlight, C20
door. To either side of doorway a 3-light casement with upper
transom. A 3-light casement above each and central 2-light
casement on first floor, all under segmental arches. A gabled
dormer with 2-light casement above the east bay.
INTERIOR: exposed bridging beams, staircase with turned
newels, exposed queen post truss of reused timbers, inglenook
fireplace.
Forms a group with Hill Barn and Hill Farm Barn (qv).
