door of Church of St Mary Magdalene

Chest tomb to Sarah Humphreys, d.1793. Sandstone ashlar on
pinkish-brown brick plinth. Rectangular on plan, approx. 1m
wide by 2m long by 1m high. Shaped plinth. Chest has fielded
panels, 2 to long sides, one to short sides, surmounted by
slab with moulded edges. Inscribed: 'In a VAULT / underneath
this Tomb / are deposited the Remains / of Sarah Wife of
George Humphreys / who died November ... / 1793 / Aged 49
Years'.
All the listed items in the churchyard form a group.
