Also known as: Threshing barn and cowsheds approx. 20m west of
Merriman's Hill Farmhouse TANWORTH LANE.
Threshing barn and cow sheds. Late C17/early C18 with C18
additions. Timber-framed with red brick nogging, plain-tile
roof. Range is U-shaped on plan.
EXTERIOR: 3-bay barn with single-bay extension on right end
with lower range projecting forward, and lower extension on
left end with further extension projecting forward. Threshing
barn has opposing central doorways and doorways to far left
and right. Square-panel framing with long braces.
INTERIOR: has jowled studs, 3-bay queen-strut roof with ridge
piece. Tension braces to either side of threshing floor.
Queen-post gable trusses. C18 extension to right and
timber-framed cow shed. Later extension on left of brick.
Further timber-framed cow shed projecting forward.
Forms a group with Merriman's Hill Farmhouse (qv).
