Farmhouse. c1700 with late C20 rear additions. Limestone
ashlar with dressed stone returns and rear; stone slate roof
with tile rear pitch and ashlar end stacks. 3-unit plan plus
C20 rear wing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Plat band
over ground floor and coped gables. Round-headed entrance has
fanlight with radial glazing bars over 6-panel door. Ground
floor has 4-light mullioned-and-transomed window with recessed
chamfers; 1st floor has 2 similar windows flanking a 2-light
cross-mullioned window. 2 gabled dormers with 2-light
casements. Rear has gabled 2-storey wings flanking
single-storey flat-roofed range; 1st floor has window with
cross-casement with iron opening light; gabled dormer.
INTERIOR: plain beams and central winding staircase with
moulded nosing; room to left has a blocked large open
fireplace with entablature over inserted C19 fireplace; room
to right has C19 marble fireplace and flanking cupboards;
attic has exposed collar trusses and large firehood to left
end, with smaller hood to front; 2-fielded-panel door; stone
cellar with large beam, and flagged floor with drain.
