Farmhouse. Probably early C17 in origin with C19 alterations.
Coursed blue lias rubble; old tile roof with brick cross-axial
and end stacks. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey plus attic; 4-window range. Right end
has half-hipped gable. Entrance to right of centre has C19
gabled timber porch and architrave to half-glazed door. Ground
floor has segmental-headed windows with brick arches, that to
left end is wide, with C20 casement, that to right of centre
has brick jambs and 3-light casement and similar window to
right end. Gabled cross-wing to right has a similar 3-light
window. First floor has 3-light casement to left end with
blocked window to its right, hipped dormer with brick
rebuilding below to right of centre, brick gabled dormer over
entrance has 2-light casement and right end has
segmental-headed window with 3-light casement; all except C20
casement have small panes.
Right return has some blocked windows and 3-light casement;
left return has timber-frame and brick gable, small
single-storey range to rear with pegged frame to wide-boarded
door.
Rear has gabled wing and catslide outshut with slate roof to
right; some casements and first-floor sashes; C20 porch.
