One shop, formerly two distinct buildings. C19 facades masking
C18 and possible C15 work. Brickwork, with some stone
dressings, all colourwashed, hipped double-Roman clay tiled
roofs to each half, ridges at right angles to street.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, single bay west section set back
slightly, and 2-bay east part. Later C20 shop front across
whole of both portions, with recessed doorway towards left
side, under deep fascia. Upper floors have, to west bay, an
angled bay window with flat roof below plain parapet. The two
east bays have sash windows in plain openings under gauged
brick flat arches, under wide projection cornice and taller
plain parapet. All windows have single vertical glazing bars
to otherwise plain units. C19 and C20 extension to rear.
INTERIOR: the ground floor totally remodelled in C20. West
section has Regency pattern doors to first floor, with similar
date staircase to second floor, where the doors are of C18
pattern, and although roof space not accessible, the feet of
the trusses to the roof appear to incorporate windbracing.
East section much modified, with C19 collar truss roof.
