GV II

House in row. C18, remodelled early C19. Rendered and
colourwashed, clay pantiled roof with continuation to east and
stepped coped gable to west, brick end chimney stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays. Plinth, sash windows
of 12 panes, with some crown glass, in plain openings, centre
bay has a 6-fielded-panel door in moulded architrave with
segmental hood on timber brackets, with an old bell pull to
left and a footscraper to the right. Rear elevation similar,
some sash windows compound, with small raked dormers with
casement windows in roof, later single-storey extension in
south-west corner.
INTERIOR: Entrance hall has early C19 staircase with cupboards
under, a C19 dado rail and coat hooks, original doors and
doorcases. Rooms have C19 fireplaces and some early cupboards,
good cast-iron insert in west bedroom. The only alteration to
the early C19 layout appears to be the formation of the
bathroom.
The property appears to have been modified at the same time as
No.92 (qv) adjoining, with similar detailing.
