II
Former mill house. Late C18/early C19. Rendered and
colourwashed, with false ashlar jointing, stone dressings,
Welsh slate double roof between coped gables, brick chimney
stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 bays. Plinth, pilaster strips, sash
windows in moulded architraves with small console brackets to
sills, 12-pane to upper bay 1, otherwise 16-pane, with an
extra window between bays 2 and 3 on ground floor. Ground
floor has 2 doorways, with 6-panel doors in deep recesses,
that to bay 1 plain and to bay 2 having a surround of Doric
pilasters with entablature and flat hood.
South elevation has double gables, with pairs of 12-pane sash
windows with eaved architraves to each gable at first floor
level, and to second floor 16-pane sash windows to the inner
bays and painted blind windows to outer bays, all with moulded
architraves and brackets to sills.
