GV II
Coach-house, stables and cowhouse. C18 with C19 additions.
Rubble central range, 2 wings of brick on coursed rubble
plinth and with ashlar chamfered plinth cap and quoins.
Plain-tile hipped and gabled roofs with ashlar coped gable
with pyramid finial and dentil course eaves on smaller wing.
U-shaped plan with central stable range, large coach-house
wing and smaller cowhouse wing.
EXTERIOR: single storey and loft. East front of stables with 2
restored boarded doors each with adjacent wood mullion and
transom window, all set in brick segmental arched openings. To
left at loft level is rubble stone dormer with 2 light
casement with leaded lights. South gable end with boarded loft
opening. Rear part covered by cowhouse wing. North gable
covered by coach-house.
Cowhouse: north front with boarded door to left and 2 light
casement to right, both in segmental arched openings. Boarded
loft opening to right. Ventilation slits in west gable end.
Coach house: doorway to left of south front with 2-panelled
door and rusticated ashlar quoins and flat lintel voussoirs
with raised shelved keystone flanked by 2 windows with
rusticated ashlar quoins and flat stone shelved lintel with
raised keystone. 2-light casement at each end at loft level.
Boarded door to rear with 2-stage chimney with brick upper
shaft.
