II

House, used as Congregational church in late C19. Dated 1603.
Painted square-panelled timber framing 3 panels high with
painted infill panels. Plain-tile roof with C20 rooflights.
Integral C20 brick ridge and eaves chimneys. Simple 2-cell
plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey and attic. South front with 3 C20
2-light casements and single casement, straight tension brace
to left, painted raised fleurs-de-lys motif and date `1603' in
infill panels to right. West gable end with 2 tension braces
at ground floor and central C20 projecting oriel window,
straight tie beam, 2 C20 2-light casements set in vertical
struts of gable truss with collar and twin raking struts over.
North side: tension brace to right, boarded front door,
painted C17 projecting face-fixed mullion window with moulded
sill to left. East gable end: single 2-light casement set in
vertical struts with collar and twin raking struts over,
straight tie beam, ground level covered by later lean-to end
extension.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
