House. Late C16 to early C17, C20 extensions. Painted timber
frame and painted rendered infill panels. Plain-tile roof.
Large detached stepped stone chimney on left-hand side and
projecting stone chimney to rear. L-shaped plan with gable-end
to road and C20 single-storey stone rubble additions to left
and rear.
EXTERIOR: single-storey and attic and single storey. Front
gable with chamfered jettied straight tie beam and first-floor
bressumer, close studding below tie beam, twin collars and
vertical struts over tie beam incorporating decorative curved
braces forming star pattern. Single C20 wood 3-light mullion
and transom window at ground level and 3-light casement at
attic level, both with leaded lights. Square framing 4 panels
high to returns, the right side with wood casements, the left
side partly covered by large stone stack and single-storey
extensions.
INTERIOR: exposed ceiling beams and framing throughout main
wing. Twin trenched-purlin roof.
