(Formerly Listed as: RUSHBURY School)

School. Dated 1821, with late C19 extension. Stone rubble with
brick dressings and raised quoins now roughcast to front,
brick to later extension. Graduated slate roofs, hipped to
north wing, and partly patterned tiled roof to later
extension. Integral brick eaves chimneys to sides. Plan of
main range with gable to street, with smaller north wing and
C19 extension to south.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and single storey. South-west front with
8/8 sashes flanking central doorway on ground storey with
gabled rustic porch and, on upper storey, flanking
round-headed recess containing inscribed panel and dated 1821.
Blind oculus in gable.
Left return side covered by small single-storey hipped
extension with opposing front and back single multi-paned
casements. Plain boarded door on side. Right side covered by
tall late C19 brick single-storey extension with opposing
single tall pointed windows in front and back gables and with
bell-turret to front.
Rear: 3 2-light casements at upper storey, multi-pane
casements flanking 2 central doors (one now brick-blocked) at
ground-floor level, circular window in gable end.
