GV II
House. Late C18, C20 restoration and extension. Brick with
dentil course eaves. Plain-tiled hipped and gabled roof.
Projecting brick eaves stack each side with integral brick
stack to rear gable. Square plan.
EXTERIOR: south front is 3-storey 3-window range of 6/6 sashes
with 3/3 at second floor, all with gauged brick lintels.
Central doorcase with fanlight with radial and festoon glazing
bars, plain pilasters and 6-panelled door. Projecting
flat-roofed portico with Doric entablature with Tuscan
columns.
Right return side: projecting brick stack to left with
2-window range of C20 casements to right and 2 with segmental
arches at first-floor, single casement over and 2 casements at
ground level with flat brick lintels and additional C20 glazed
door.
Left return side: projecting brick stack to right with single
casement at each floor with segmental-arch lintel at lower
floors, ground floor casement of 3 lights with top-lights, the
others C20.
Rear: twin gables flanking parapeted valley. Left gable with
C20 casements at first and second floors with segmental
arches, C20 extension covering ground level. To centre C20
casements with segmental arches at first and second storeys,
with ground-level C20 door and window with flat brick arches.
