Coach-house, now house and garage. c1730, converted 1977.
Contemporary with Mawley Hall (qv). Red brick with ashlar
dressings at moulded corniced parapet and quoins. Painted
brick with dentil course eaves to rear. Hipped slate roof with
parapet to front and sides surmounted by urns. Central
octagonal domed lantern with gilded ball finial and
weather-vane, moulded wood arcade on painted square
turret now housing clockface relocated from pediment. 2 brick
integral stacks with panelled shafts.
PLAN: 3-bay with centre slightly advanced.
EXTERIOR: south front is a 2-storey, 9-window range, the
centre 3 window bays advanced. Centre with 3-bay entrance
portico in antis formed of square piers with central Serlian
arch. One 6/9 sash either side, and three 6/6 sashes to first
floor. Flanking 2-storey 3-window wings each with 3 restored
6/6 sashes to each floor under gauged brick lintels.
Right return side: 2 tall brick-blocked gauged brick
semicircular archways with ashlar keyblocks and C20 glazed
door now inserted to left with flat-roofed porch. Restored 3/6
sashes at first floor.
Left return side: 2-storey, 3-window range of restored 6/6
sashes with gauged brick lintels. Partly covered by C20 gabled
garage extension to right.
Rear: central doorcase with Gibbs surround flanked by 6 large
pedimented semi-dormers with restored 8/8 sashes. 2 large C20
garage doorways to left. 4 segmental arched openings to right
with 2 4/8 sashes and 2 doors with top-lights.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
