Farmhouse. C17. Painted timber frame with brick infill panels
mostly surviving at first floor and underbuilt with brick,
with part surviving stone rubble plinth. Plain-tiled roofs.
Projecting stone stack to main range with brick upper shafts,
brick integral stack to cross wing. T-shaped plan of 2-bay
range aligned south-west to north-east with 2-bay cross wing.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey and cellar. Main range with first-floor
square framing with straight tension braces each bay on sides
and left (north-east) gable-end with end truss remodelled.
Right-hand gable end rebuilt in rubble stone and partly
covered with projecting stack and with end truss with straight
tie beam, twin vertical struts and collar to twin
trenched-purlin roof. Scattered fenestration of C20 restored
2-light and single casements.
Cross-wing: south-west side with square framing at first floor
with tension braces to right-hand bay, 2-light casement to
left-hand bay.
Panelled door covered by projecting hipped tiled porch to left
and 3-light casement to centre at ground floor. Gable end and
north-east side rebuilt in brick with first-floor casements,
ground-floor gable-end bay window and weatherboarded end
truss.
