Formerly known as: Church View.
House. Late C16 to early C17, with C20 extension wing. Timber
frame with painted brick and rendered infill panels, brick
extension. Cedar shingle roofs replacing thatch. Large lateral
brick ridge stack with 2 C20 restored diagonal shafts, with
later projecting brick eaves stack at cross wing. H-shaped
plan of main range and 2-bay cross wing with C20 cross wing
extension.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey and attic. Gable front to left with square
framing 4 panels high, jettied at first and second floors with
pair of straight braces on each floor.
Gable-end truss of straight tie beam with plain chamfered
soffit, vertical struts and upper and lower collars. Left
return side with 2 bays of square framing with pair of
straight braces to each bay. Later projecting brick stack to
left and later doorway to left bay. 2 gabled dormers. Rear
gable of cross wing the same as the front gable. Each bay on
each floor of the framed bays have C20 varnished softwood
casements.
