House. C17. Painted timber-frame with painted infill on stone
rubble plinth, weatherboarded rear wing, and brick. Plain-tile
roof. Brick projecting gable-end stacks, plain to left, twin
spurred shaft with star-shaped cap to right. 2-window range
with rear wing.
EXTERIOR: single-storey, attic and cellar. South front has
square-framing to attic storey with tension braces underbuilt
with C19 brick. 2 C20 2-light casements and 2 framed gabled
dormers with 2-light casements. Left gable return (west): end
truss with straight tie beam, collar with vertical struts
below and twin raking struts over. Square wall framing 3
panels high with attic-level tension braces. Right gable
return: end truss similar to the west gable but mainly
obscured by projecting stone and brick stepped stack with
tiled outshuts. Rear: square framing masked to left by
projecting rear wing.
INTERIOR: west bay with ogee-chamfer stops on double bridging
beams. East bay with main bridging beam with double ovolo and
fillet chamfer, subsidiary bridging beams with cyma chamfer
moulding. Internal truss with straight tie beam, 3 vertical
struts to collar, square-framing under tie beam with braces.
