House. C18 with early C19 wing. Painted stucco facades.
Coursed stone rubble and brick rear and side walls. Hipped
slate roof. Brick ridge stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey with 2-storey C19 wing. Front is 3-storey,
4-window range of 3/3 sashes with 6/6 sashes at ground level
and C20 metal casements at second floor. Front entrance
portico to left: stone with plain entablature on pair of
Tuscan columns and pilasters now enclosed with multi-pane side
lights and 2-panelled glazed door. Advanced bay to left is the
return of the early C19 wing: 2-storey single-window range of
8/8 sash with 12/12 sash at ground level. Left return side:
2-storey 3-window early C19 range of 8/8 sashes with 12/12
sashes at ground floor. Right-hand first-floor window is a
uPVC replacement.
Rear: to left is a brick 2-storey 2-window section with 6/6
sashes and segmental arches, partly masked at ground-floor
level by lean-to extension. Stone 3-storey gable to centre,
partly masked by projecting hipped 2-storey brick extension
lit through an 8/8 sash at first floor, a 6/6 sash at ground
floor and a leaded-light casement to attic, all with segmental
arches. To right is the rendered blank wall of the early C19
wing covered by projecting greenhouse at ground level.
INTERIOR: central staircase of helical turn with pair of
curtail steps and gallery on 3 sides.
