Farmhouse. C16. Stone rubble and timber-frame with brick
infill on high stone rubble plinth; additional stone rubble
wing. Corrugated sheet roofs. Central stone stack to cross
wing with brick shaft.
EXTERIOR: single storey, attic and cellar. North-west side has
square framing 3 panels high of studs with middle rails,
tension braces at each end, and the ends of 2 bridging beams
visible. Single wood mullion and transom window with leaded
lights. Cellar opening in high stone plinth with oak frame and
oak lintel. Right gable-end return: gable-end truss of tie
beam, collar with twin raking struts, underbuilt in stone.
Single trenched purlin roof evident. C20 attic casement and
4-light casement at ground floor. Left gable-end return:
square framing 3 panels high with jowled posts, posts and
studs with middle rails, 2 tension braces. Gable-end truss of
straight tie beam, twin vertical struts, collar with twin
raking struts. Double trenched-purlin roof evident. 2-light
casement to both levels with additional C20 uPVC casement at
ground floor. Rear side: stone rubble and partly covered by
single-storey stone cross wing. Cross wing with plain boarded
entrance door to left and projecting lean-to outshut to right.
