House. C17 with C18 extension. Painted timber-frame with
painted rendered panels set on stone rubble and concrete
plinths. Brick extension and outshuts. Plain-tile roof.
Projecting brick gable-end chimneys, plain to north and
stepped with stone lower stage to south.
EXTERIOR: 2-window range with additional extension bay. 2
storeys. East front with two C19 2-light casements to each
floor. Central projecting tiled gabled C20 enclosed porch.
Square framing 4 panels high with girding beam, straight
braces at each truss-post, middle rails and studs. Iron grill
in plinth to possible cellar. To right is a plain brick tiled
gabled extension. To left are brick lean-to extensions
encasing chimney stack. Right return gable-end: end truss with
tie beam, collar and vertical strut visible behind brick
chimney shaft and single-storey extension. Left return
gable-end: end truss, partly masked by brick chimney shaft,
with cambered tie beam, vertical struts and with evidence of
double purlin roof. Rear wall frame: same fenestration and
framing as front with the exception of a central bricked-up
doorway with C20 casement inserted and weathering-boards on
brackets set over ground-floor openings.
