Barn with added shippon. Probably C18, with shippon and porch
added in C19. Slobbered rubble with through-stones and quoins,
stone slate roof. Broad L-plan formed by 3-bay main range on
north-south axis with porch added to west front and gabled
shippon added to rear. The west front has a wagon doorway in
the centre protected by a gabled porch which has a C19
king-strut roof. The gable wall of the shippon at the rear has
3 shippon doorways. INTERIOR: barn has 2 collar trusses;
shippon has 2 rows of stalls with a central feeding passage
formed by stone flag partitions. Forms a group with Hewthwaite
Farmhouse (qv), barn to north (qv) and stable to west (qv).
