Methodist manse. Probably mid to later C18; altered.
White-washed roughly-coursed rubble, stone slate roof. 1:2
bays on east-west axis facing north.
2 storeys, 1:3 windows. The 3-window main range (windows
grouped 2:1) has a square-headed doorway offset right, with a
4-panel door protected by a late C19 gabled wooden porch which
has narrow side windows, ornamental tracery and an apex
finial; to the left the ground floor has a large square
2-light 12+12-pane fixed window with one opening pane in each
light, and the 1st floor has a pair of narrow rectangular
12-pane hornless sashes with exposed boxes; to the right the
ground floor has a 12-pane fixed window and the 1st floor has
a large square window with coupled hornless 12-pane sashes.
The 1-bay extension to the left has only a rectangular sash
without glazing bars at 1st floor. Ridge chimney at the
junction, gable chimneys at both ends. Rear and interior not
inspected.
Forms group with Congregational Manse (qv) approx. 30m
north-east.
