GV II

Row of weavers cottages, now 3 houses. Late C18, restored C20.
Narrow coursed millstone grit rubble, with tooled ashlar
dressings, stone slate roofs and stone ridge stacks with
watertabling.
PLAN: each house 2 units.
EXTERIOR: 2 storey. Street front has irregular 7 window facade
arranged 3:2:2.
Front of No.55 has doorway to left in flush ashlar surround,
and to right two 3-light flush mullion windows. Above 2
similar 3-light windows and to left single C20 window, all at
eaves level.
Front of No.57 has off-centre doorway in flush ashlar surround
with to left single 3-light and to right single 4-light
casement windows in flush ashlar surrounds. Above 2 similar
windows at eaves level.
Front of No.59 has quoins and central doorway in flush ashlar
surround flanked by single 3-light flush mullion windows in
ashlar surrounds. Above 2 similar 3-light windows at eaves
level.
All windows have C20 wooden casements. Right return rendered.
