GV II

House, now public house. Late C18 with C20 alterations and
additions. Colourwashed render with gabled pantile roof and
tall lateral brick stack.
PLAN: L-shaped plan with cottage set back parallel to road and
mid C20 extension projecting at right-angles to road. Cottage
has single-depth, two-room plan; rear service ranges framing
courtyard.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 3-window range. Symmetrical cottage facade
with central doorway. Windows to ground-floor are small-pane
paired casements in plain reveals with sills; first-floor
12-pane sashes with horns in plain reveals with sills. C20
panelled door with open pedimented hood on brackets.
Right-hand projecting gable has paired casement to upper floor
on south return wall and mid C20 bar frontage with bow window
and doorway projecting on ground floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms a group with Nos 2 and 4 Wells Way (qqv).
