Pair of semi-detached houses. Early C18 shell with late C18 refronting and C19 alterations. Coursed rubble with dressed stone quoins, ashlar dressings, ashlar copings and gabled pantile roof with west gable-end stone stack, ridge brick stack on stone base and east end brick stack on stone base.

PLAN: double-depth plans.

EXTERIOR: three-storey; two-window ranges. No.7 has windows to right: all C20 plate-glass sashes in flush stone surrounds with sills; panelled, recessed doorway to left with relieving arch over and wrought-iron, glazed hood. No. 9 has identical windows to right, with two to ground-floor and single openings to floors above; part-glazed mid C20 panelled door to left with wooden gabled hood.

INTERIOR: not inspected.

The building has group value with adjacent 5 High Street (qv) and Nos 11 and 13 High Street (qv).
