Detached house. Early C18 with minor early C19 alterations.
Coursed rubble walls with stone dressings, end-gabled pantile
roof and end brick stacks (obscured by ivy at time of survey).
PLAN: 2-unit central-entry plan.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 2-window range. Symmetrical facade with
central doorway. Windows are 2-pane early C19 paired casements
set in edge-moulded architraves denoting original mullions,
now lost. Early C19 plank door with wooden gabled hood on
simple wooden supports.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but noted as being gutted of internal
features in front ground-floor rooms.
A good example, relatively unaltered externally, of a modest
early C18 vernacular cottage built to a standard plan ; in
very poor condition and unoccupied at time of survey.
