Farmhouse. Probably C17, remodelled and extended mid C19.
Rendered cob and stone rubble walls; dry slate roofs with
projecting eaves, the main roof stepped up to the right; 2
brick rear lateral stacks, the left-hand stack with oven
projection.
PLAN: 3-room plan, the higher end rebuilt or remodelled in the
C19 as a double-depth plan, pantry lean-to added at rear
centre, single-storey lean-to added to left-hand end and
2-storey outbuilding added mid C19 at right angles in front at
far left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2:2-window range. Mid C19, or copy,
casement windows with glazing bars: 2-light 12-pane over
16-pane windows to projecting 2-window range on the left;
another 12-pane casement above 6-pane light adjoining doorway
with planked door to centre; 3-light 30-pane windows to far
right of this range, the ground-floor window on the right
spanned by a segmental arch. Lean-to on the left has old
casement window and door to the front.
Wing on the left has openings to its right-hand wall: casement
window over door, and door over door, all planked doors.
Rear has segmental arch over mid C19 16-pane 2-light casement
to 1st floor right of taller range.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to retain old features of
interest.
